2009-2010 NFL Football Season

Gear up for this year's hardest hitting Football pool in the St. John's area! Two ways to win make it extremely easy to play for some cash while you watch the game. If you have any questions, drop down to the pub in advance of game play for either Yearly or Weekly and we'll show you how it's done!

WEEKLY FOOTBALL POOL
Costs only $10 each week you enter! Weekly pick sheets available at the bar each Tuesday evening and the winner-take-all prize will be awarded the following Monday Night's game. Simply attempt to pick the winners of each game weekly and whomever ends up with the most wins will take the pot home. In the case of a tie, we shall use the monday night spread pick to determine the winner. If there's still a tie at that point, we split the pot between you!

Weekly pool signup begins week 1 of the football season and your money has to be handed over by the first kickoff time that Sunday. Be sure to get your entries for the upcoming week in before game play that evening.

YEARLY FOOTBALL POOL
Cost $50 - Enter on your own or combine forces and buddy up with a friend! Make sure to enter your picks weekly or you'll fall behind easily amid the competition. Prizes and payouts will be determined by number of entries this season.

A Year-End Football Bash will be held for all those who enter the Yearly Pool, featuring freebies, prizes, bar/food specials all night, and as always, great live entertainment. Molson and Iceberg are our sponsors, so we'll be throwing lots of prizes your way on behalf of them as well.

We'll be having specials on every Sunday/Monday for those whom want to drop by and watch some football on the 92" HD screen and 4 other HD TV's. Featuring combo deals on beer and nachos, beer and wings and more, better keep those Sundays and Mondays open.

This pool is very similiar to the weekly contest. Weekly pick sheets are available each Tuesday. Enter your picks each week for which teams you think will win and at the end of the football season, whomever ends up with the most wins takes 1st place.

Yearly pool entrants must have your pool money in before the first NFL Football Game this season to qualify.

SUBMITTING YOUR PICK ENTRIES
We prefer if you visit the pub and enter your picks in person to ensure confidentiality and then confirm your picks before leaving to prevent miscommunications.

If you are absolutely unable to get down to our location before the September start date, we will accept pick entries emailed to curt@whalenspub.com or called in to Curt's cell number 765-5217. Please leave a detailed message so that he may call you back in a timely fashion if you reach the answering service.

Drop it off at the pub or if you are living outside St. John's, payment can be made via email/interac, cheque or visa.
